Welcome to DONWEST.ORG, our tribute to the best sports collectible seller ever, Don West. Check out our WAX PACK collection of Don's greatest hits.
...it's been a while. FYI, Don retired from wrestling and doesn't have a radio show any more. These days, he's the Director Of Marketing for the Wenatchee Wild (a.k.a junior hockey). You'll find him screeching about goalies and pucks on his twitter account: @DonWestDeals. But if you want your tweets in the form of classic Don, check out @donwest_.
Old school Don is now on Twitter! No wrestling crap, just blue chips, waxpacks, and Shaq refractor sets!
BBS is still down
A recent "upgrade" by the hosting company for The Org totally broke the BBS. I'm still looking for a fix, but it's looking pretty grim. I may have to install a completely new one, unfortunately.
Wait, what? Don and Eddie back on the air together on February 22 at 11pm ET? Will this be one night only, or is this a precursor to a full-on reunion tour? Will there be a Honus Wagner giveaway, and do you wanna own one? Will the mustache and the mullet be reunited as well? We'll have to watch and see!
Remember those late nights sipping a Strohs and flipping channels between Showtime porn and Don West on Shop At Home? God we miss those times! But miss them no more!
Thanks to me and the internet, you can relive those special, drunken moments! I can't give you the porn, and you'll have to get your own Strohs... but tonight, we've got hours upon hours of Jeter rookies, boxes upon boxes of waxpacks, and a DiMaggio autographed bat that we've had in the vault since 1990!
For years, we've been offering these videos individually for the best prices on any internet ever! But tonight, we're putting the best of the best together in one package! You can literally, LITERALLY WATCH DON ALL NIGHT LONG! Do whatever you have to do to pick up a mouse and CLICK THIS!
On the evening of December 5th, 2005, Don will be appearing on Cheap Seats on ESPN Classic. He will be moving various memorabilia items that night, I can guarantee! I know I won't be missing out on this one.
With waxpack54 up and available, we've reached the 1000 mark on mp3s. I haven't tossed them all into my mp3 player lately, but man, that has to be well over an hour of Don clips for your shuffling McPleasure. We don't have anything exciting to announce or declare to celebrate this milestone, but I did rediscover the joy of clicking on that mustache up there. Do it. Oh, and grab the new pack, too.
And I'd just like to thank the gang (you know who you are) for supporting the site. Many of you have sent in clips, a lot of which I haven't completely sorted though yet. Its so amazing how much Don stuff still falls into my mailbox after Shop At Home gave him the axe. But yeah, thanks gang!
ARE WE ALIVE!
Sorry for dropping off the face of The Don lately, but to make up for it, here's a brand new waxpack, and, as an extra bonus for you crank-callers out there, check this shit out!
Thanks to one of The Org's faithful for this clip, fresh from the radio airwaves.
Brace yourselves for some great news. Don will be selling memoribilia on the radio every weekend on stations in Chicago and New York. And if you're not in those two cities, don't worry... don't get alarmed... they both offer streaming audio for your listening pleasure. He'll be on at 8:00am every Saturday and Sunday on WCSN in Chicago, while on WSNR in New York, you'll hear him at 9:00am on Saturdays and 8:00am on Sundays. Now we all have a good reason to pop open a Bud early in the morning.
Hawaiian shirts and digital watches. That's our Don. Click on it, gang.
Thanks to Radiohead9 for the photo. If any of you bros are watching these PPV wrestling things, please send in some scans!
MORE WRESTLING STUFF
Since the annoucement that Don will be a broadcaster for wrestling, stuff is starting to pour in, and I'd expect there to be more over the next couple of weeks. First, check out Don's personal statement on joining the NWA: TNA thing. Also check out this 15-minute interview with Don himself on the Opie & Anthony show. Lastly, check out this photo of Don and Kenny Marks because, man, those were the days.
DON TO BROADCAST WRESTLING!
It has been officially announced that Don has been signed to be a broadcaster for TNA, a weekly pay-per-view wrestling bonanza. Starting Wednesday, June 19th, Don will... be Don... for $9.95 per show. If you're on the fence about whether or not you want to dish out the dough, keep in mind that Puppet The Psycho Dwarf will be gracing the mat.
HE'S BACK, NOW THEY'RE BACK
He's back, and now they're back. Add waxpack40 to your wax pack collection. I've also added factoryset.mp3 to the gem mint collection. Look for a fresh waxpack every Friday until our vendors run out of 'em.
ALL POINTS BULLETIN: DON IS BACK!
If you are in Seattle and not so drunk that you can't set up your VCR, I strongly urge you to tune into channel 45 (KHCV) on Saturday night at 8:30 and hit 'Record'. Why? Because Don is back. It looks like QShop.tv is doing a test pilot, and you'll be lucky enough to witness the rebirth. Thanks to Paul Allen for the heads up.
We have a preview of Don from tonight's show! The quality is pretty shotty, but so what.
If you check out the BBS, you just might find a link to some video footage from the show last night. Folks, its unbelievable.
Want to see Don this weekend? You can if you tune into Qvision on Saturday, March 9th, at 1am eastern. This time, it is nation-wide, but we only know the cities, not the channels. You'll need to flip around. Check out the area table I threw together, and if you flip around and find Don in your area, let me know the network and the channel number. I'll toss it into the listing for future generations to reference.
We have waxpack39 ready to add to your collection. Sorry we haven't been releasing many of these lately, but there's a severe shortage of new Don footage at our disposal.
We can't give you mega quantity. Uhhh, we can't give you mega quanity any more. Its just impossible.
MY NAME IS DON WEST
If you read the BBS last week, you'll have read my note saying I was going to digitize the Smoke Arrest commercial for you guys. Instead, I got pretty wasted. Its coming soon though. In the meantime, someone sent me this like ages ago. Enjoy!
KATIE BAR THE DOOR! WE'RE IN MAXIM!
Yep, check out the February 2002 article in Maxim. The authors tried to get an interview with Don, but when it fell through, they decided to interview us instead. We laughed, we lamented, and we got our cartoon Don head in print. Check it out, or check out a scan of the print version.
Also, we are STILL looking for vhs tapes of Don. we KNOW some of you out there have video of Don. as you can see we havent put up any new packs in awhile, we are OUT BABY! if you can help us out in any way, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Want to see some vintage Don from the Mustache Era? Want to download a nearly 3 meg mpg? Check out whew2.mpg in the Motion Cards section. The color is kinda funky, but still.
We've also added jumbo.mp3 to our Gem Mint collection. Its short, but mmm, its sweet.
